Exit's Assisted Suicide/ Voluntary Euthanasia Public Meetings are presented by Dr Philip Nitschke & provide an introduction to issues associated with Assisted Suicide & Voluntary Euthanasia, including the legislative history & current political status around the world.
Exit's Workshops follow immediately from Exit Public Meetings & focus on practical end-of-life strategies. Topics for discussion include:
- DIY Death - Why accurate information is essential in the current legal climate
- Sourcing liquid veterinary Nembutal from overseas & legal considerations
- Long term storage, reconstitution and testing of lethal drugs
- The Exit spot test kit for confirmation of barbiturates
- The US "single substance" end of life protocol
- The Hypoxic death (helium v. nitrogen) a practical lawful option
- The role of other prescription and non prescription substances
The myriad legal issues associated with all the above topics are also examined.
At Exit, we believe that an end of life plan makes good sense in that it empowers the individual to be able to make important decisions based upon the most up-to-date, scientific information as well as keeping loved ones safe from the law. In 2009, more than 5000 people attended Exit meetings in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada & the US.

Attendance at Exit Workshops is restricted to the over 50s & those who are seriously ill. Exit reserves the right to refuse entry.
Exit Member Workshop Rates
Exit workshops are free for Exit members (one per calendar year)
Subsequent workshops - $50 (plus $5 gst) per event
Life members are welcome to attend all Exit events free of charge
