Drug Testing

The most reliable and scientifically proven way to test the content of a substance like a barbiturate is with Gas Chromotography / Mass Spectroscopy. This process is known as ‘assay’ and is usually carried out by commercial laboratory facilities, often at considerable cost.G

All too often, Exit has been approached by our elderly members wishing to know if their old prescription drugs – namely barbiturate sleeping pills – are still effective. Others wish to know if the liquid Nembutal they have obtained probably from a third world country is the real thing and viable.

To this end, Exit  invested in GC / MS laboratory equipment. In March 2009, Exit opened a in-house laboratory. The initial focus of the work undertaken in the Lab was the development of a Nembutal Test Kit.

The Lab version of the Kit was launched in the UK in May 2009.
