Forthcoming June 2025 Snippet
Topic – ‘Does Nitrogen Hypoxia cause convulsions?’
With the spate of US nitrogen hypoxia executions, have come reports that a death by nitrogen hypoxia is a cruel and violent affair.
Yet the right to die movement has used inert gas (originally helium but more recently nitrogen) and a plastic bag for at least 20+ years. Eye-witnsses call these deaths peaceful and reliable.
In September 2024, the 3D-printed Sarco capsule employed the same science. Eye-witnesses to that death describe the passing as fast and peaceful.
How can these vastly differing eye-witness accounts be reconciled, given that all rely upon the same scientific approach?
Does nitrogen hypoxia cause convulsions?
The June Snippet will dive deep into these questions of reliability, peacefulness and time taken.
Previous March 2025 Snippet
Topic – ‘Does Nembutal cause drowning?’
The March Online Snippet examined the type of death that Nembutal provides. Is the possibility of complications (inc. subjective drowning) from Nembutal the right to die movement’s ‘dirty little secret’ (be that in Switzerland or elsewhere) or is this a case of ideology corrupting the science?
Is a Nembutal death truly peaceful?
