Veronica AI Website Launches
In another ‘World First’, this week Exit launches the Veronica AI Mental Capacity Assessment website, ahead of the protocol’s roll-out for the forthcoming London Exit Workshop on 5 September 2026.
For many years now, Exit Founder Philip Nitschke has discussed the need and the potential for AI to help Exit in our work (See Wired, Oct 2024).
For people attending Exit Workshops, it has been easy to confirm a person’s age. However, mental ‘fitness' or 'suitability' to receive the type of information (some of it sensitive) that Exit provides at workshops has been more difficult to ascertain.
This is where Veronica steps in.
VerOniCA = Verification of Cognitive Ability
Veronic is a ‘protocol' that will assist Exit to confirm the suitability of attendees at our Workshops. But AI such as Veronica has far more potential than this.
Philip has always expected that an AI protocol which assists in the assessment of mental capacity will be incorporated into the Sarco design.
This would ensure that only a person of ’sound mind’ - a person with mental capacity - would be able to use the Sarco.
With the launch this week of the Veronica Website (and the Veronica protocol in London), this is no longer a 'futuristic imagining'.
Veronica is here, and ‘she' is real. Visit the Website to have all your questions answered.
Veronica is 100% conceived, designed & owned by Exit International.

If you like what you see, please donate to take Veronica from 1.0 to the next level.

Northern Territory of Australia
to Introduce New Law
After 30 years, the Northern Territory - the place where legalised voluntary euthanasia all began - the Parliament of the Northern Territory is set to vote on a new Rights of the Terminally Ill Act on Thursday 27 August 2026. The Bill is expected to pass.
Just in time for Exit’s 30th Anniversary of the original Rights of the Terminally Ill Act Conference.
As Philip Nitschke says, the Northern Territory is not a place known for leading the world in many areas of society and culture, but on this one occasion they did just that.
Under the original Rights of Terminally Ill Act, Philip helped four of his terminally ill patients to die using the Deliverance Machine.

It is from this time & place, that Exit International emerged to become the organisation that it is today. Read More
