Exit Public Meeting & Workshop
Registrations are now open for Exit’s annual London Workshop.
|
Prior to the closed workshop, Exit will host an open public meeting with special guest speaker, Mr Carlos Cabrera, Founder of Athanasios Swiss Association.
|
Carlos will speak about Swiss assisted dying laws and the ongoing relevance of Switzerland for Brits, given the failure of Westminster to pass end of life laws (again).

Nitrogen Hypoxia?
This week the use of nitrogen hypoxia (via a face mask) finally made its way to the US Supreme Court.
|
Last Thursday, the Supreme Court blocked the execution in Alabama of Jeffrey Lee, by upholding a ruling by a lower court that this means of execution is ‘likely unconstitutional’.
|
Eye witness reports of the eight prisoners who, to date, have been executed using nitrogen hypoxia have described scenes of horror.
|
None of the deaths have been peaceful. None have been quick.
|
But, wait a minute you say!
|
Exit says that a hypoxic death using an Exit Bag (or the Sarco) with Nitrogen gas is one of the best ways to die.

Philip Nitschke has had ongoing involvement with this issue since he appeared as an expert witness for the defence in December 2023 prior to the first use of the method in the death of Holman Prison inmate Kenny Smith.

With the Kairos Kollar ready to be tested, it is now time to explain the R&D program behind its invention.

Inventor Philip Nitschke will do just this via a pre-record Snippet which will published directly into the online Peaceful Pill eHandbook later this month.

To recap, the aim of the Kairos Kollar is to create a legal, simple, inexpensive device that provides a peaceful and reliable passing.

Come to Canberra
This year marks the 30th Anniversary of the world’s first legal, lethal voluntary injection under Australia’s Rights of the Terminally Ill Act.
|
On 22 September 1996, Exit Founder Dr Philip Nitschke helped prostate cancer sufferer, Bob Dent, to die. This was the first case of legal voluntary euthanasia in the world. Bob was the first of four people who would use this ground-breaking law.
|
Ahead of its time, the Rights of Terminally Ill Act lasted 9 months before it was overturned by a 'conscience vote' in the Parliament of Australia.
|
