As readers will be aware, on 23 September 2024 following the first use of Sarco in Switzerland, Dr Florian Willet (The Last Resort President) was detained by the authorities of the Canton of Schaffhausen for pre-trial detention.
|
Despite there still being no autopsy report (some 11 weeks after the death?), Florian was suddenly and unexpectedly released from prison last Monday (2 December).
|
According to a media statement from the Prosecutor Peter Sticher, there is no longer a 'strong suspicion' of 'intentional homicide' (murder).
|

Florian has said that he is 'enormously grateful' for the many letters of support that he received from the Exit/ The Last Resort community in recent weeks.

He said they cheered his darkest days.

Forthcoming Peaceful Pill eHandbook Update

Hot on the heels of last week’s December online Snippet, the next Update to the Peaceful Pill eHandbook will examine the different deaths that different methods of death afford.
|
There has been much written about the physiology of different types of deaths, but there is little reported that is based on the eye witness accounts of those present and watching.
|
This update has been triggered by ongoing debate in the Netherlands about what constitutes a ‘normal’ death. There is considerable controversy about the type of death that Middel X (sodium azide) provides: is it peaceful or not?
|
Eye witness accounts of the Alabama nitrogen execution deaths also require explanation and analysis. As does the death that the Sarco brought about last September in Switzerland.
|
