Exit Private home visits may be requested by any suppporter of Exit, with priority given to those who are seriously ill and are otherwise unable to attend an Exit Information Workshop.
Private visits are information-based. They are non-medical in nature and so prescriptions are not provided. Visits take around one hour. Partners, relations, and family members are encouraged to attend. Private visits focus upon a range of end of life issues and questions can be asked in a confidential and private environment.

Process
Upon requesting a private visit, the Exit supporter shall be mailed a Private Visit Form which must be returned to Exit along with any relevant information. This information is treated with the strictest confidence.
A confidential pre-visit telephone interview is then conducted with Exit’s Private Visits' Coordinator, Amanda McClure. Amanda phones the member to discuss the person’s health status and any other relevant factors. It is not unusual for Exit supporters to wait some months for their visit to take place. Exit recommends that requests are made well ahead of time.
Donations
Exit Private Visits are not considered to be "medical.” Exit does not utlilise either the formal public (Medicare) or private health care systems. A donation is requested to assist with costs.
